Betway Premiership 2026/27: the fixtures Sundowns and Pirates got, and where the value already sits

The 2026/27 PSL season fixture list dropped on 10 July. Sundowns open away at Chippa, Pirates host TS Galaxy, Chiefs travel to Polokwane. The outright title odds are already trading, but the value is in the top-4 finish line.

The Premier Soccer League released the 2026/27 fixture list on Friday 10 July at a media briefing in Randburg. Mamelodi Sundowns start their title defence away at Chippa United on the opening weekend, Orlando Pirates host TS Galaxy at Orlando Stadium, and Kaizer Chiefs travel to Polokwane City. The season kicks off the weekend of 8 August and runs through May 2027, with the mid-season MTN 8 quarter-finals slotted into the last weekend of August.

Outright title odds opened Sundowns at 1.55 across the panel, Pirates at 5.00, and Chiefs at 8.50. Stellenbosch FC drifted from 12.00 to 15.00 within twenty-four hours of the fixture release. Those numbers look about right given how last season finished, but the outright title line is not where we would take a position at these prices. The value is in the top-4 finish line, where Stellenbosch is trading at 3.25 despite a lighter travel schedule than three of the four teams it needs to overtake.

The top-4 line matters because it is the qualification cutoff for the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds. Sundowns and Pirates are effectively locked in at their current prices. Chiefs is the third seat. The fourth seat is where the market is treating Stellenbosch, Sekhukhune United, and SuperSport United as roughly interchangeable, and they are not. Stellenbosch has home matches against three of the top-four rivals inside the first ten fixtures, and the fixture-difficulty numbers we ran against last season's expected goals data put them ahead of Sekhukhune by a full match-win equivalent over the season.

The corners and cards markets are where the books have not yet caught up. Betway is offering Sundowns over 5.5 total corners in the opening fixture at 1.72, which is short of fair given Chippa's defensive block and Sundowns' wide-play numbers from the second half of last season. Cards markets on Chiefs away trips are also trading light, with Chiefs to receive over 2.5 cards at Polokwane at 2.10 across the panel. Both of those numbers will tighten inside the week before kickoff, but there is time to take the current price.

The full fixture list is on the PSL website and the Betway pre-season markets are already available at Betway South Africa. We will update the fixture-difficulty numbers weekly once the season starts, and the daily picks page will carry any Betway Premiership selections that clear our value threshold.
